Hi, I’m Judy.Growing up in an immigrant family in Canada, I saw firsthand just how challenging—and rewarding—learning a new language can be.That experience, along with meeting people from many different cultures, showed me that language is really about connecting, sharing stories, and understanding each other.Of course, getting to that point isn't always easy. It’s completely normal to feel a bit stuck or self-conscious when speaking a new language. But I believe mistakes are just a natural part of learning. That’s why I focus on creating a relaxed, friendly space where you can practise comfortably, ask questions without worry, and build your confidence step by step.I look forward to supporting you on your journey and helping you reach your English language goals!

Everyone's career path is different. My lessons focus on the type of English you need for your work and the situations you use it in.

  • Giving Presentations: We'll practise useful phrases, pronunciation, and ways to structure your ideas so you can present with confidence.

  • Tour Guiding & Hospitality: We'll practise speaking with guests, giving directions and information, and handling questions on the spot.

  • Teaching & Facilitating: We'll focus on explaining concepts simply, leading discussions, and engaging students or colleagues.

  • Everyday Workplace Situations: We'll practise real scenarios from your workplace — meetings, small talk, emails, and giving feedback — along with the vocabulary and expressions you need for each.

How Lessons Work

Each lesson focuses on your goals and areas you would like to improve. We review what was discussed in the previous session, reflect on what you learned during your own study, and practise new strategies and skills.We use the chat box for new words and phrases, examples, explanations, pronunciation practice, and corrections. You can review these notes anytime to help you remember key points and use new language more naturally.After each lesson, you receive a personalised Lesson Summary by email with key vocabulary, grammar corrections, and areas to practise. This helps you review what you have learned, see your progress, and identify your next steps.

You can start with a free 15‑minute introductory consultation to discuss your goals and language needs, or you can schedule your first private lesson using the button below.Lessons are $40 USD per 60‑minute block, and you’re welcome to book multiple blocks if you prefer a longer session.All sessions are conducted over Google Meet, and payments can be made securely by card (Stripe). Simply choose a date and time.You will get a quick questionnaire to fill out during the time of booking, so I can learn more about your English goals.

Session Guidelines

  • Late Arrivals: Lessons start at the agreed time. If you arrive late, we will use the remaining time available, but the lesson will still finish at the original end time. This helps ensure that other students' lessons can begin on time.

  • No-Shows: The online classroom will remain open for 15 minutes after the lesson start time. If you are unable to join during this time, the lesson will be counted as a missed lesson, and the lesson fee will still apply.

  • Cancellations: 24 Hours or More Notice: You can choose a full refund or reschedule your lesson. Less Than 24 Hours Notice: Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice cannot be refunded or rescheduled because this time has been reserved for your lesson.

  • Teacher Cancellations: If I need to cancel a lesson due to illness or an emergency, I will contact you as soon as possible. We can reschedule the lesson or arrange a full refund.
